Illustrates that petroleum deposits are found only in certain types of rock and rock formations. The chamber contains oil droplets suspended in water. Most sedimentary rocks are porous, allowing petroleum to remain in the pores. Then oil is trapped by an impermeable layer of rock. The visitor inverts the chamber and the oil droplets being lighter than water float upwards and are trapped by the impermeable layer.
